Anthony was born in 1913 in Flushing, New York, the son of Micheli Mucciolo (1881-1952) and Angelina Nappa. Anthony married Giuseppina (Josephine) Faso in 1941 in Flushing. Photo, left: Anthony and Josephine, September 8, 1940, World's Fair

Anthony entered the US Army in 1943, and served during World War 2 in the 63rd Infantry Division, Signal Company. Photo: That's Tony on the left, with Sid Lovesky and Al Weisenberg.

Anthony was wounded in action April 16, 1945 in Kunzelsau, Germany, for which he was awarded the Purple Heart among many other citations. Photo: Lt. Dunfee of the 563rd Infantry Division with what remained of Tony's jeep after running over a land mine.

Anthony and Josephine had three sons,

  • Michael Russell (born 1942),

  • Gene Ross (born 1948)

  • Russell Anthony (born 1955).

Michael has three daughters, Michelle, Christine and Jeannette. Michael and wife Ramona now reside in Michigan.

Gene married Helen Scully in 1969 and had one son, Joseph Anthony, born July 17, 1971, and one daughter, Meagan Ruth, born October 2, 1974.

Gene's son Joseph Anthony married Tanya Fox and have two daughters, Marguerite Antoinette, born September 12, 1994, and Estelle Rosalie, born April 18, 1998.
